The sleek, hard-nosed runner is a typical late bloomer.  Never a star in high schook, she has made the transition into the senior ranks as smooth as silk.  The former St. Jago High School alum has managed to corner the world's best halfmilers on many occasions over the last five years with increasing success.  Not a leader, not a straddler, Kenia is comfortable in any pace presented - just like she did in the hustle and bustle of Spanish Town for many years.  Kenia has a best of 1:57.88, but her consistency over the last couple of years is what catches the eye.  Victories over almost all the top middle-distance stars in the world in 2011 both at 800m and 1500m made her one to watch in 2011.
