ROME (AP) -- Italian officials say Usain Bolt will run at the Golden Gala meet in Rome on May 26.
Italian Olympic Committee president Giovanni Petrucci made the announcement to the Gazzetta dello Sport and a CONI spokesman confirmed to The Associated Press that Bolt's presence has been secured.
However, a spokesman for Italian athletics federation FIDAL, which jointly operates the Golden Gala with CONI, says final details are still being worked out with the 100- and 200-meter world record holder.
On Tuesday, Bolt said he has recovered from various injuries and that his preparations for the world championships in Daegu, South Korea, in August, are on track.
He also announced he will run the 200 in June at the Bislett Games, a Diamond League meeting in Oslo.
